Proposed Regulations Issued on SBCs

The ACA requires group health plans and health insurance issuers to provide a summary of benefits and coverage (SBC) to applicants and enrollees at certain times. On Dec. 22, 2014, proposed regulations were released on the SBC requirement. The proposed regulations would amend the final SBC regulations from Feb. 14, 2012, and would revise the SBC template and related documents.
